Rebecca Kemp
Rebecca began dancing at 4 years of age and, by 18, was choreographing students in the dance styles of traditional world dance, song and dance, and modern jazz. From 1987 to 1995 Rebecca honed her contemporary dance skills as an elite member of the ‘Silver Squad’ of the North Adelaide Rockettes. As an adult, she returned to dance as a student, at the North Eastern Academy of Dance. In 2013 she co-choreographed, LRO Production’s Love, Lust and Everything in Between, and in 2016, was the choreographer for SCCAS's outstanding production of Pippin.
In 2017 she choreographed for Blue Sky Theatre's production of Sense & Sensibility and in 2018, for Stirling Players, Our Man in Havana.
There’s always a challenge in choreographing for plays, as opposed to musicals, as many actors are not trained dancers, but Rebecca has enjoyed bringing an extra dimension to the characters in this play with some boisterous and energetic movement.
