Jacqui Maynard
Jacqui's love of, and involvement in, theatre began in primary school where she relished being part of a myriad of musicals, choirs and plays. This continued through high school and to university where she completed an Assoc. Dip Arts with a double major in Music and Drama. Since then, she has enjoyed performing in a variety of musicals, including as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof (Marie Clark), Mrs Hopkins and a maid in My Fair Lady (The Met), Chloe in Princess Ida (GnS Society), and as a choral member in The Events (State Theatre Company). As an actor she performed a number of roles, with a highlight of playing Olive in The Odd Couple (Strath Players).
In the orchestra pit, she has played for a number of shows including piano for Bye, Bye Birdie (Northern Light), flute for Oliver (SCCAS), accompanist for the cabaret show Bitter Sweet and Song (Megan Doherty), and Music Director for Pippin (SCCAS). She has directed various pieces of theatre including Godspell (Latte Theatre Troupe), Oliver (Wyong Musical Theatre Company) and Lettice and Lovage (Strath Players).
