Dave Simms
Dave Simms is well regarded in Adelaide as both an actor and director. Recently he directed Stirling Players' best-selling show Lady in the Van, won awards for directing The Beaux’ Stratagem and received critical acclaim for his take on Variation on a Theme earlier this year. After six years in the director’s chair, Dave’s decided it’s time to hit the boards once more. His acting credits include Sleuth and Last of the Red Hot Lovers for Adelaide Repertory Theatre, Theft for Therry Dramatic Society, Great Expectations and Cry God For Harry for Independent Theatre and The Deep Blue Sea and Birds on the Wing for St Jude's Players. For nine years Dave was at the helm of Mixed Salad Productions acting in many of their critically acclaimed productions including Educating Rita, Torch Song Trilogy, Terence Rattigan's The Browning Version, Love Letters, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The History Boys and Feelgood.
