April has been performing for over 30 years. She has experience in plays, musicals, cabaret, voice over, short film, theatre restaurant and works regularly for The University of Adelaide in role play for training psychiatrists under the direction of Robert Marchand.

Some of her favourite roles in have been Mama Rose in Gypsy (Gin and Vodka Productions), Muriel in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Nicky in Sweet Charity, Side By Side By Sondheim (Ensemble Piece), Dora Strang in Equus, Quisa in Six Degrees of Separation (Opus Performing Arts), Archbishop Monselet/Mother Mertz in Red Noses, Herald in Marat Sade, Ellen/Victoria in Cloud 9, Mrs Prentice in What the Butler Saw (Uni Theatre Guild) Muzzy in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Met), Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables (Shane Davidson Presents), Dor/Helen/Molly in Road (Geoff Brittain).
