Aldo Longobardi
Aldo majored in Theatre Studies at the Australian National University during which time he performed in plays such as The Romans in Britain and The Tempest.
He has worked extensively with many of Adelaide's theatre companies including The University of Adelaide Theatre Guild (Twelfth Night; The Merry Wives of Windsor; Saturday, Sunday, Monday; Cloud Nine; Julius Caesar; An Experiment With an Air Pump; RedChilli (Road); This Rough Magic; Opus (La Cage Aux Folles); Galleon (Chapter Two) and Burnside Players (The Cocktail Hour). He has also appeared in two Theatre Guild Adelaide Fringe productions After Magritte in 2006 and As You Like It in 2008.
This is Aldo's first show with The Stirling Players. In 2006, Aldo was nominated for an ATG Curtain Call Award for Best Male Performance for his roles as Betty and Gerry in Cloud Nine for the Theatre Guild, so he is no stranger to playing characters with gender issues! Aldo teaches Drama at Eynesbury Senior College and is a theatre reviewer for TASA's Encore Magazine.
